Pile – “Texas”

Boston’s Pile have been on the slow and steady rise for north of ten years. “Texas” was recorded Live at Third Man Records, where I presume Jack White sat upon a throne of discarded guitar necks and the bones of lesser guitar rock revivalists. The album itself gives an authentic sensation of the Pile live show, but at the volume of your choosing. That may sound like it could describe any live album, but it couldn’t. The division of guitar parts in a good pair of headphones will make you feel a little insane. Enjoy that, then seek out their new collection of rarities, Odds and Ends.
